John Hollington Design is a small award-winning design studio whose lighting and homeware designs are inspired by the clean lines and geometrical forms of modernist art and architecture.
Products are assembled and hand finished in-house to ensure a high quality finish. For sourcing lighting components we work with specialist manufactures and suppliers in the UK and Italy.
We are proud to support Britain’s rich heritage of quality manufacturing and the artisan crafts such as metal spinning.
John Hollington Design also carries out commissions and collaborations for retailers, interior designers and architects.
Our designs combine attention to detail, simplicity of form and quality craftsmanship to produce products that, if coveted and taken care of, will last for a lifetime – a sustainable concept in our throw-away culture.
All our lighting designs use energy saving LED bulbs.
Our lighting designs are made with a ‘cradle to cradle’ environmental philosophy by using recycled materials such as brass and aluminium which are in turn are 100% recyclable. We use recycled/recyclable packaging wherever possible and our designs have low ‘product miles’ in their making.
We use local family owned ‘living wage’ businesses for our CNC cutting, laser cutting, metal spinning, chroming and powder-coating.
